Lammas Ideas

NOTE: Now, I'm an Egyptian Pagan and sort of follow my own rules since I'm a solitary. I do not celebrate Candlemas OR Ostara. I've had to look things up in books to give you ideas. So I might not be right on. If you are a 'newbie' please consult another webpage or Wiccan/Pagan about Candlemas and/or Ostara. Thank you.

Candlemas and Ostara are of Wiccan origin. The other 6 Sabbats are of original Pagan origin.

I hope that everyone had a pleasant Summer Solstice and now we move on to Lammas - August 1st (for most). Lammas is kind of the mark of the end of summer and the beginning of fall. It is more of the preparation of fall to come. Bread is usually traditionally baked and colours are usually that of the fall being orange and brown, etc. Thanks to your Deity(ies) I particularly favour at Sabbats. During this holiday, it's the general sense of fall to come. Preparation can take place in the home by tidying the place up and buying magickal necessities needed. A nice idea would be to dress up the altar with those colours, candles, cloth, etc. I hope this helps a bit. Though, the best rituals come from within and I always find it is best to make up your own. To fit your own beliefs, tools, etc.
